This mug features a killdeer parent and chick strolling along a sandy shore.
It’s part of a shorebird series that celebrates their adaptations to exposed habitats like beaches, mudflats, and tundra—long legs for wading, slender bills for foraging, sandy-toned plumage for camouflage, and precocial chicks that can walk and feed themselves within hours of hatching!

Handwashing is recommended for pieces with sculpted details.
Even fully vitrified ceramics can absorb liquids over time if left soaking, especially in dirty or colored water, and get stained. Avoid prolonged soaking and rinse promptly after use.
Sudden temperature swings (like ice water into a hot mug or fridge-to-microwave) can cause cracks in ceramics over time. Letting pieces reach room temperature before heating or chilling helps them last longer.
