Black-necked stilts are among the most distinctive shorebirds, with legs so long they’re second only to flamingos in proportion to body size. Their striking reddish-pink legs are impossible to miss.
I threw this cup on the pottery wheel using speckled buff clay, echoing the sandy beaches these birds wade across, and handpainted each member of this stilt family.
Approx 12 oz. Lid is not included and can be purchased separately.
Microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe. Hand washing recommended for pieces with sculpted details.

Handwashing is recommended for pieces with sculpted details.
Even fully vitrified ceramics can absorb liquids over time if left soaking, especially in dirty or colored water, and get stained. Avoid prolonged soaking and rinse promptly after use.
Sudden temperature swings (like ice water into a hot mug or fridge-to-microwave) can cause cracks in ceramics over time. Letting pieces reach room temperature before heating or chilling helps them last longer.
